Stir-fried udon with katsuobushi on top. Katsuobushi is dried skipjack tuna. Sometimes people use young bonito which becomes bonito flakes. 

Pasta that is topped with tarako which is salted cod roe. Hard roe, which is what tarako is, are unfertilized cod eggs. On the other hand, soft roe, which is also considered a delicacy in some countries is cod sperm.

Oftentimes, when you're almost done eating, restaurants will bring out something that looks like a teapot. This is filled with

蕎麦湯（そばゆ）. Inside is filled with the water that was used to boil your soba in. You can pour it into the cup that has any leftover dashi soy sauce and it's supposed to feel warm and comforting.  

Hot pot for sumo wrestlers but you don't have to be one to eat it all :)

You can usually choose whatever ingredients you want and then it's cooked with batter like a pancake right in front of you.

Miso-shiru is made with dashi which is broth made from water, konbu (dried kelp), and bonito fish flakes. Then a miso paste is added along with wakame (seaweed) and tofu cut into small chunks.

Miso-shiru tastes so good with rice added into the soup but don't do it in public because it's bad manners :)

Kurigohan is rice with chestnuts. You'll often see it in the basement of train stations.

Also known as Yokohama ramen. The broth is a blend of soy sauce/pork.

Soba is thin buckwheat noodles. You can have it hot or cold but personally, cold is the best. You can also order tempura soba which comes with tempura vegetables so you can dip it in the dashi soy sauce that you also dip your soba in.
